‘The Day After’ Director Nicholas Meyer to Exec Produce Daniel Ellsberg Documentary ‘How to Stop Nuclear War’

The Hollywood Reporter announced that Nicholas Meyer — director of ABC’s 1983 nuclear war drama The Day After and the Star Trek films Wrath of Khan and The Undiscovered Country — has signed on as executive producer of Paul Jay’s How to Stop a Nuclear War.

Speaking to THR, Meyer warned that nuclear powers remain on a collision course four decades after his television film terrified American audiences, and that he felt compelled to sound the alarm again. The documentary continues in production, with Ellsberg’s interviews forming its core.
