The Hollywood Reporter reported that Oscar-winner Emma Thompson has joined Paul Jay’s documentary How to Stop a Nuclear War as narrator. The film centers on Pentagon Papers leaker Daniel Ellsberg and draws from his book Doomsday Machine: Confessions of a Nuclear War Planner.

Thompson’s voice will guide audiences through Ellsberg’s analysis of US nuclear war planning and his warnings about the heightened risk of catastrophic conflict in the post-Ukraine era. The feature remains in production.
